Not Every Month Is a Growth Month (And That’s Okay)
Because stillness is part of the strategy
Maybe you needed to hear this…
I’ve noticed that about once a week, I tend to hit what I call a “lull day.” It used to catch me off guard. I’d feel uneasy, frustrated, even critical of myself for slowing down, as though I wasn’t doing or achieving enough.
But with time, I’ve come to recognise it for what it truly is: my body and mind gently asking for rest. A pause. A moment to reset and recalibrate. And now, instead of resisting it, I try to lean in, to rest so I can return clearer, more aligned, and more energised.
We live in a world that worships growth.
More followers. More revenue. More milestones. Always building. Always scaling. Always doing.
But here's something I've had to learn the hard way… Not every month is a growth month.
Some months are maintenance. Some months are recovery. Some months feel like nothing is happening on the surface… but underneath? There's quiet integration. There's unseen alignment. There's healing.
That's part of the process.
Whether you're building a business, deepening your inner-world, or redefining what success even looks like… you're going to hit plateaus. Not because you're stuck, but because your system is recalibrating for the next season.
Think of nature. There are seasons of bloom. But there are also seasons of stillness. The roots grow in silence before the leaves ever show.
So if you're in a slower season right now… in your body, your mind, or your business… honor it. Don't rush it. Don't shame it.
Sometimes rest is the most productive thing you can do. I personally struggle to rest, to slow down… I'm still trying to figure it out. It brings a whole wave of self-doubt, anxiety, lack of purpose or worthiness. But what I have found is through the pain of weathering these feelings is the portal to greater expansion.
The irony? We know you grow when you rest at the gym, yet we convince ourselves of the opposite in business. But recalibration—mentally, spiritually, physically—is the gateway to evolution.
So, with that said… here's your permission to:
Take the pressure off
Listen to your energy
Let alignment lead instead of urgency
You are still growing. Even when it doesn't feel like it. Even when the numbers are shit.
Real growth isn't linear. It's cyclical. And when you learn to trust the process and your seasons, everything starts to unfold with more ease.
Relax. You're exactly where you're meant to be.
